Dear ministry colleagues,
Thank you for your great ministry this past year, including the administrative functions! The WAVE Fair Share participation has remained consistent through this difficult economic year. We all want to finish 2010 well so that our shared financial system can end the year in the black. Please be sure to submit all 2010 monthly reports and checks by January 5, 2011.
I am announcing three changes in WAVE administration for 2011. First, we have created a new monthly report form that we trust you will find easier to use. This form is available as a MS-Excel or .pdf downloadable form at:
Mid-Atlantic/New South Conferences Monthly Report Form (PDF),
or
Monthly Report Form (PDF),
or
Monthly Report Form (Excel)
We have also attached this new form to this email. You’ll notice that the form has changed slightly. There is no longer a need to color-code the form.
The new form asks you to provide the report date, month/year reporting for, church’s name, conference, church number, month's total pastor(s)’ salary, church income, and qualifying adjustments to the month's income. The form then automatically calculates the pension portion of your Fair Share and the portion that goes to the other components of the Fair Share (FMCNA Equal Participation Plan, WAVE Administration, and Conference Administration). You’ll be glad to know that the Fair Share percentage has not changed for 2011. It is still 13%.
The new form also does a cool thing: It calculates, for your information, the percentage of the pension and Fair Share components of your church’s current-month adjusted income. We hope this will help you to see clearly how the Fair Share is used.
Second, our Northeast Region team, will now be administering the WAVE financial system. Effective January 1, please send all completed forms and remittance checks to:
WAVE Administration
PO Box 707
Stafford, NY 14143
Third, WAVE Administration will be closely monitoring WAVE Fair Share participation and will be invoicing churches for missed Fair Share and Pension payments. This will help ensure that the entire system functions properly and that we can honor the pension and Equal Participation Plan obligations built into our Fair Share budget.
If you have any questions about these changes or other matters pertaining to the WAVE Fair Share, don’t hesitate to contact Wave Administrator, Randy Freeman (Randy@nerfmc.com).
Blessings in Christ this Christmas season,
Bishop David T. Roller
